From AG to Group – the Apostroph history
Twenty-five years have passed since Elisabeth Stofer and Wolfgang Krebs founded Apostroph. What began as a small public limited company (AG) in Lucerne has evolved into one of the leading translation agencies in the DACH (Germany, Austria, Switzerland) region – Apostroph Group. This success has not come about by chance, but through the efforts of a committed, professional workforce and the implementation of a determined and consistent corporate strategy.
Apostroph began taking decisive steps towards growth in 2013 when it took over no fewer than three companies: TraDoc SA in Lutry near Lausanne in January, Rolf Lüthi Übersetzungen AG in Bern in July, and allingua Übersetzungen AG in Zurich in December.
October 2014 saw Apostroph and its three subsidiaries harmonise their presence in the market by becoming Apostroph Group: a joint "family look" complete with a fresh corporate design now underlines the new era of the company's history.
Transcript Übersetzungen AG joined the Apostroph Group family in 2017. Although the new subsidiary's name and staff haven't changed, it benefits from Apostroph's know-how, professional infrastructure and certified long-established quality standards.
How does all this benefit our clients? The companies making up Apostroph Group together look back on a proud 90 years of experience. Our language professionals are at home in many branches of industry. We cover a wide range of languages, while technological innovations and a strong team of expert language and IT professionals create bespoke services for your organisation. Plus we're never far from you, with four offices in Switzerland and four in Germany.
We achieve much more together as a group than we could individually. So after 25 years, we're proud and happy to be able to say, hand on heart, that we're looking forward to working with you for the next 25 years!
