As with many events, the COVID-19 pandemic led to changes in the way the Annual Report Rating awards were organised. For one thing, the seating in the auditorium had to remain largely empty. But that didn’t mean the event took place before a small audience: for the first time in its history, the proceedings were streamed live.
HarbourClub board member Hans-Peter Nehmer was upbeat, refusing to let the unusual circumstances spoil the occasion. And the fact that the nominees were physically present meant the audience in their offices and living rooms could share in the crackling tension.
Out of 241 submissions, the high-calibre jury selected the winners in the categories Value Reporting and Design. The competition also saw Print allocated its own category for the first time. There were further awards for the year’s rising stars, and one annual report was catapulted into the limelight in the form of the GB Oscar. Apostroph Group congratulates all the winners. We’re particularly delighted that Geberit, one of our clients, came away as overall victor in the Design Print and Value Reporting categories.
And in case you were wondering, the rating figures for the awards were most heartening, thanks to the great interest shown in the event. It could well be that popcorn sales went up accordingly!
