Men: on with your breeches!
Wrestling in the sawdust
As the country’s top Swiss Wrestling contenders prepare to don their traditional tough jute breeches at the Federal Swiss Wrestling and Alpine Games Festival in Estavayer (26 to 28 August), the professionals responsible for the event’s linguistic services are also limbering up: from the felling of the tree and its conversion into sawdust for the wrestling ring, to the action in the competition and the awarding of the prize bull, Apostroph Lausanne will be at the ringside, delivering high quality translations as the event's exclusive media partner for translations.
Unlike the competitors’ baggy wrestling breeches, translations into the country’s national languages before, during and after the festival have to provide a good fit. The terminology must be right, the languages properly localised and the target groups and audience needs kept firmly in mind – something the Apostroph Group has spent the past 22 years perfecting. This is the second time the Apostroph Group is sponsoring this high-profile national event with its celebration of Swiss sports, customs and traditions. We go well together: as a Swiss company we prioritise quality – a recognised characteristic of the Swiss – and even inscribe it on the national flag: Swiss firm. Swiss quality.
