Apostroph in person: Corinne Odermatt
Figures, figures, figures: Corinne Odermatt was appointed to the post of bookkeeper at Apostroph Group in February 2015; she's been keeping the accounts in good order ever since. Her duties include preparing supplier invoices for payment, recording client payments, checking incoming payments, issuing reminders, completing VAT returns and contributing to the preparation of annual statements. She also handles queries from clients and freelance translators in her usual professional and diligent manner.
Although the work is rooted in figures, Corinne Odermatt is able to relax when not the office – but only to a certain extent, as she’s currently attending a demanding extra-occupational course with a view to gaining a Swiss Federal Vocational Diploma in Finance and Accounting. When not playing trumpet with a 55-strong brass ensemble, travelling around Switzerland and abroad or coaxing sonorous sounds from an alphorn, she’s frequently to be found on her beloved Lake Lucerne in summer, floating on a large inflatable swim raft she owns with a friend where she likes to read and swim. When the weather’s too cold for that, she keeps fit through sport.
Something of an all-rounder, Corinne, who hails from Canton Nidwalden, loves having family and friends around and is always there for them when needed. Sometimes she bursts out in colour by giving in to her nail varnish obsession, pulling out her collection of around 100 bottles and painting her nails all kinds of hues according to how she feels that day. If ever she’s in a bad mood or stressed, she simply reaches into her terrarium, pulls out her two corn snakes and strokes her cares away – in best reptilian fashion!
