Launch with translations into 27 languages
1994 – Dr. Elisabeth Stofer and Wolfgang Krebs found Apostroph AG at Hofstrasse 1 in Lucerne. One salesperson and an assistant complete the original team offering translations into 27 languages. Development of the company’s own ERP software APOS.
Official confirmation of the company’s high quality
1996 – Apostroph is the second translation agency in Switzerland to be awarded the quality certificate ISO 9001.
CAT tools for greater productivity
1999 – Apostroph trains its translators to use CAT systems (computer-aided translation environment) and starts creating client glossaries using top-quality software.
More space for more employees
2004 – The company moves to Töpferstrasse 5 in Lucerne as the original premises were getting too small. There are now seven employees working for Apostroph.
New owners – new management
2010 – The company is sold to private investors. Philipp Meier becomes CEO.
myAPOSTROPH – order portal
2012 – Market launch of the order portal myAPOSTROPH. myAPOSTROPH provides all clients with a professional workflow.
2013 - Expansion through takeover of three companies: the translation agency TraDoc SA in Lutry near Lausanne as of 1 January; Rolf Lüthi Übersetzungen AG in Bern as of 1 July; allingua Übersetzungen AG in Zurich as of 18 December 2013.
Transdoc now part of TraDoc SA
2014 – Purchase of the Transdoc customer portfolio as of 01.01.2014 with immediate integration into the daily business of TraDoc.
From Apostroph AG to Apostroph Group
2014 - renamed the apostrophe AG and its subsidiaries in the Group apostrophe by 1 October 2014, coupled with a complete redesign.
Transcript Übersetzungen AG joins Apostroph Group
2017 – Transcript Übersetzungen AG joins Apostroph Group. The name and the company will continue to operate as is until further notice; Transcript customers will thus be served by the team they know from Transcript Übersetzungen AG.
